Following the latest Michelin Guide Malta announcements, ION Harbour by Simon Rogan at Iniala Harbour House has retained its two Michelin stars, making it the island’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant for the third consecutive year. This achievement crowns a landmark year for Iniala Harbour House, joining the hotel’s two Michelin Keys, the Green Key eco certificate, and another year with the prestigious Forbes Five-Star rating.
“Retaining two Michelin stars is a proud moment for our team and a meaningful acknowledgement of the consistency, craft, and care that define our work. Guided by our philosophy, we continue to shape a dining experience that expresses a distinctive farm-to-table identity and that showcases Maltese produce at its finest. At the heart of this approach is a deep respect for sustainability and an ongoing commitment to working closely with local producers,” chef Simon Rogan.
Led by chef patron Simon Rogan, executive chef Oli Marlow, and head chef Christian Cali, ION Harbour continues to be recognised for its precision and originality. The restaurant’s menus are rooted in a farm-to-table philosophy, celebrating Malta’s natural bounty while working closely with local farmers, growers, and suppliers to deliver ingredient-led dining experiences. Standout dishes that reflect this commitment include Truffle pudding glazed in carob molasses, stout from The Brew, and aged Maltese pecorino, perfectly demonstrating the kitchen’s innovative approach to regional produce and local artisans.
The news follows a successful few months for both ION Harbour and Iniala Harbour House, including the recently awarded Green Key eco-label and two Michelin Keys. Earlier this month, Iniala Harbour House also proudly reasserted its position as Malta’s only Forbes Five-Star hotel once again.
Set within several restored 17th, 18th and 19th century townhouses and palazzos, Iniala reflects an unwavering commitment to exceptional service and heritage. From its historic vaults to the picturesque St. Barbara Bastion, the hotel offers sweeping views of the iconic Grand Harbour and the historic Three Cities. This world-class setting provides the perfect backdrop for ION Harbour by Simon Rogan.
